Whitmore, How many shares do you get of an IPO? How much do you make if you flip? If you hold a quality IPO you will be rewarded. MFNX 3500 to 65,000. GBLX 5000 to 20,000, VRIO 4000 to 25000 SCAI 2500 to 28,000. None of these is over 3 years old. It really pays to wait until they go long term and then sell off a piece if you need cash. JMHO

I'm getting killed at WIT and making out like a bandit at Etrade. Go figure!!!! I've been intimidated by WIT's harsh no flipping rules but Etrade has not enforced

Actually it makes perfect sense. It's the rare IPO that appreciates in the short term after it first starts trading. Most of them see their short-term peaks in the first two or three days of trading.

I think that if you looked at a chart of the first 30 days of each of E*Trade's IPOs you'd see that stocks like PCLN are the extreme exceptions. Look at STRM and TSCM, two winners. They're both well off their highs.
