scott, RE: Janus holdings of DELL

Each individual fund is only required to disclose its holdings once a year, but Janus is required as a firm to disclose its overall holdings each quarter. At the end of 1Q 99, Janus held 55.557mm shares of DELL, which was down 27mm shares from their year end total.

Hi Scott,
I havent talked to the Janus reps this month, but my understanding from other conversations is that these ads simply are to show that Janus does what Lynch used to do for Magellen: actually goes to the company, watches business, and talks in person to CEOs of the company. In other words, they do on the site research.
