And crude prices didn't start rising until

Talking heads report that Venezuela and Nigeria have begun cheating on the new quotas. Iraq is reporting increased capacity. I think there's a glut of oil that's going to force prices down until the Asia Pacific region resumes its boom. and that could take a long time.

RE ECI data and Options compensation.

Paying employees with options comes out of the shareholders' pockets. Paying employees with cash comes out of the consumers' pockets. While the latter COULD be inflationary, using Options counterbalances the [mythical?] wealth effect.
