Those totally inept at online shopping may feel safer ordering from Microsoft at list. But these folks are probably in the minority. E-commerce on the net would never have gotten out of the gate if the various products sold were at "full price". Microsoft is starting to sell at their website to attract those out there who visit their site and buy on impulse. Amazon would never have gotten off the ground with this sales model. I don't think MSFT will be much of a threat to the other outfits selling on the web. jon
