Dealing with jackasses.

The way CrystalBall chooses to air his views (frequently and without substantiation) rubs me the wrong way. CB, why don't you do yourself and everyone else a favor and do some actual DD on this stock instead of playing silly word games and blowing hot air. You'd be much more effective at convincing us of -anything- if you provided more fundamental reasons why GNET is a poor buy. WRT your good fortune, congratulations. Just remember: luck is temporary - dumb is forever.

option007 is a very different story - his behavior went well beyond my tolerance level as well as that of pretty much EVERYONE here. He has been a member of 7 days and posted more than 100 messages, most of them to this thread. I mailed SI admin about him and this is what I got in response (the next day):

I'm not too pleased with his conduct, and have taken action
regarding his posting 35 posts in 6 hours mostly to the GNET thread, but we are not able to determine that someone is lying for their own benefit, or empowered to take action on a belief that they are. That's the SEC's domain.

We have a saying here about the posts on SI: "The truth will
prevail." Until I noticed the sheer volume of his posting, I was content to let our member community handle it themselves. I'm very proud of the way in which he's been refuted in that thread. That, to me, is the real value of SI. People can *try* the Yahoo games here, but they don't seem to be as effective here as they are there.

Please let me know if he does more of the same upon his return.

Regards,

SI Admin (Bob)

I'm very pleased to see that admin is making efforts to preserve a little bit of integrity and order on SI (just enough to keep out the riff-raff). Thank you, Bob.

Hopefully this post will provide everyone some encouragement that SI is not just turning a blind eye to these yahoos. Anyway, I don't want to play policeman - I just want to continue to enjoy unhindered the proliferation of financial information made available here by its members. Sometimes it pays to try taking action to preserve that privilege.

Go Go GNET! :)

Assuming revenues are only advertising and all else being equal for all portals (I know this is a gigantic assumption and there is much more to it then this) then add revenues depend on the number of viewers right??? so why can't you just look at that pcdata compare the number of viewers for say yahoo to gnet and come out with a stock price normalized to outstanding shares ratio with number of viewers. Use pcdata figures and see which is under or over valued relative to the other.
