CashnOut,
WACC bought a motel just north of the proposed site of the timeshare property to house potential buyers of timeshares. They usually give mini-vacations to prospective customers and would prefer to have them in a "friendly" environment while they seduce them.
When my wife and I were returning from a trip to Virginia back in March, we made it a point to stop and see the properties. They were in the remodeling stage of the lobby of the motel then. More developement was anticipated on that property at that time, and it sounded as if it had as much potential as the "timeshare property", which was untouched and apparently unfinanced at the time.
Hope this helps. We still have a small amount of shares and it makes no sense to sell them at this time.
