Addendum to previous post,
Tim, Mike. Yes it would have been better if all three modes had standardized on the IS95/cdma2000 chiprate, but maybe Q being way ahead on time to market is more important. Personally, I think the cdmaOne operators will be offering 3G services YEARS ahead of the GSM/TDMA community. And anyway, three or four years from now, if WCDMA ever flies, then as Gregg says CDMA=GSM=CDMA. All roads lead to Sorrento Valley.
