The way I read it was (flippers) will now be looked at. I bet your flipping history file starts now, not with the past.

Game's over. Kinda feels like a great team of professional ballplayers were all canned. You know the owners (E*Trade) don't care...because the fans will pay to come to the game regardless.
I might buy a lotto ticket at the 7-11 to celebrate tonight. My chances of winning are about the same as getting into an E*Trade IPO.

Don't hold your breath on that one... E-Trade has always stated that flippers would be penalized. We know that that is not the case at all. Notice that they do not say that flippers will be excluded. Only that it would be taken into consideration. I believe the old flips probably won't hurt you. I do think that anyone flipping E-offering shares may see themselves excluded.

JMHO.

Dale, I perfectly understand the "low probability" of getting
future IPOs from Etrade.

But, my point is: a "non-flipper" at least has a chance, while
a "flipper" is kicked out of the game.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Anyone who reads this thread now has a small fraction of the chance they had before. They might as well go OpenIPO and ruin it all together. As a matter of fact, I hope they do.

Besides, what's wrong with being a flipper, other then "Us vs Them", of course. Holding 30 days will NOT make a stock more stable. It makes it more volatile as it effectively reduces the float.

Danny, sorry, I just don't think you'll have a very good chance at getting Juniper, maybe a 1 in 50 chance on that one. I'll likely close my E*trade account.
