Does that mean that CWNT isn't a finalist?

MRV'S Wireless Traffic Driver Finalist At Supercomm Atlanta

Business Wire - June 08, 1999 16:48

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 1999--MRV Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:MRVC), today announced its Wireless Traffic Driver was
named finalist at Supercomm in Atlanta.

The SuperQuest Awards program is sponsored by CMP Media Inc.,
publishers of tele.com magazine and InternetWeek, and by the
Telecommunications Industry Association and United States Telephone
Association, also sponsors of SUPERCOMM '99.

The Wireless Traffic Driver delivers a breakthrough patent pending
technology by combining WDM technology and wireless transmission to
distribute standard protocols at Gigabit speed in free space. This Wireless System combines high-speed Optical and Millimeter Wave Transmission on the same point-to-point link. This is the first time two wireless technologies, Optical and Millimeter Wave, have been unified and truly integrated under one parabolic mirror/antennae in a single device. Jack: There is your Mirror(s) and Web, now we need it much more smoke by stroking the fires a bit (PR).

The Wireless Traffic Driver provides convenience and ease of deployment for high-speed network services. It can be deployed at a fraction of the cost of laying new fiber in the ground. The convenience of a Multi-Gigabit Wireless Optical Transmission is combined with the robust nature of the lower speed redundant Wireless RF Link. No governmental approval is necessary since unregulated frequencies are used.

Now it makes more sense why the tilt of opinions on the FOOL thread about MRVC was always to the negative side. Remember how it always read? "The products are no good, the management is no good, the acquisitions have been no good and now add about the burn rate of capital" and then add nauseum.

I guess Roktar is even trying to intimate that he speaks for Smith, Barney. As their analyst on MRVC, I guess.

He finally admits he has always traded MRVC to the short side. Although to set the bait, he talks about how he would go long if there was something to go long for.

What a joke, but I guess he is entitled to his opinion (as we all are)
