That's where God is very different from you and me. His truth is never relative. It's always absolute. When you hook up with His truth, you'll be on solid ground, not shifting sand.

Dear Mark;

I must strongly disagree with the following.<<Truth is oftentimes relative.>>

From Websters

Truth - That which is true or certain concerning any matter or subject, or generally on all subjects; real state of things; fact; verity; reality. A true thing; a verified fact; a true statement or proposition; an established principle, fixed law, or the like; as, the great truths of morals.

Truth is knowledge that never needs adjusting.

The concept of truth being relative is the most dangerous idea I have heard on this thread. Relative truth simply means, there is no such thing as truth, make up whatever works for you.

By this definition it is impossible to state that even Hitler was wrong. He was the duly elected head of Germany. He had the right to legally declare what was the best public policy for his country. Only the fact of God's law; Thou shalt not commit murder can it be proven to be wrong. Truth that is accepted as relative is at the heart of all man made atrocities.
