mohan..believe they have a 19.95 pre paid package, and various ala carte payment plans....it is a unique service...and not really an isp...more like a refinement of the original prodigy service, which was not internet based...you log on to aol, but have to launch from aol to the net, until you elect to do so, you are in the confines of aol and only receive their content...

in essence it is the type of service that can be piggy backed on to a carrier, that is what the importance of the portland/t/athm case was...giving aol access to cable for delivery to homes....they are far ahead of the curve for the "everyman"...brand id..dell could never challenge..

sounds like perfect for a certain segment of the population but not all.

That "certain segment" is by far the largest segment of US users and growing...
