James has spun up a flurry of activity on this thread with his idiotic posts..but you bring up a point. He uses all these codewords which have very little to do with reality - makes you wonder who's feeding him this stuff...A company I have done some consulting with consolidated several NT servers onto a single Sun E450 running Lotus Notes which sells for around $50,000 - less than a comparably priced Compaq proliant system - i dont think they consider this system proprietary or Big Iron - it sure is a lot more reliable than a Wintel System though - maybe thats what he means by proprietary - i.e - not from Microsoft or Intel.
