John, I agree astrological interpretations are very dependent on the practitioner, especially with the Vedic methods. They are very complicated and the person has to be very focused. Traders who are drawn to astrology are obviously looking for a predictive edge. I have not as yet used astrology for trading. However, by the very nature that our bodies are made up of 80% water suggests we are effected by lunar cycles. Other then Gann I don't believe anyone has risen to prominence using astrology. Also, the recognition of cycles doesn't mean one can successfully trade them! But I mark out broad yearly cycles like the solstice pivots [June 21st] for possible changes in market sentiment and the Lunar. >>I have seen that as with the full moon the eighth day (Asthami) of the lunar cycle insights passion in the market.<< In Vedic astrology the moon is the most important element greater then the sun. When you are under its Dasa it is very powerful. Your friend must be well advanced to attempt programing the Vedic System? And you also must have some understanding of its terminology. Have either of you attempted to attribute market movements to the Vedic system? These types of broad factors can sometimes be applied can keep one out of trouble.
