Re: "I can imagine the market shaking off a Fed rate increase after a brief pause later this month and then moving onward and upward."

IMO, a quarter point increase is essentially being priced into the market now. However, some of the bond traders indicate that some are starting to worry about the Fed increasing by 0.5%. That would probably result in more than a brief pause.

Best wishes,

Marc

I'll sit with my partially hedged position as the market is no bargain and I'll still make modest but decent money on an updraft and I'll be well positioned to make a quick move if we reach a sell signal in the weeks and months ahead

My sentiments exactly. I would rather stay with a partially hedged position at this point than have the full exposure in relation to market risk.
