Why this company?

One thing is the last mile to customers, as in the article just posted, but there's probably another reason. Some of the wireless cable providers are probably just a bit ahead of their time. Wireless cable will gain a certain market share at some point, but it's not there now. They went bankrupt, because their company needed the customers now that aren't ready for its product yet. Once they are ready, this could be a profitable part of whatever company buys them.
