Still use satellites because the satellites haven't fallen on Washington yet.

Re: Disney and Excite@Home

I've had quite a few emails regarding this analysis that I posted early this week. I am posting again this morning for those who didn't go back on the thread. My links pretty much point out why I believe this is a strong possibility.

It was picked up by the Motley Fool yesterday.

Here's the post from last night with links:

This is a reply I posted on the fool board. I am firenza over there and elsewhere...name was taken on
yahoo.

Nico:
So glad to see the thread that I started yesterday has turned into a feature with your
post today on Disney. For those who didn't see my seed post you can link it here:

The Key Nico is "Telefusion". Disney has been working on this for sometime and it
really requires broadband to work. In my mind it has to happen. In terms of
bringing Excite into the conversation, it has nothing to do with the content...it has
everything to do with the speed.

Newsweek had a good article April 26th, "OUT OF THE BOX"
which planted the Disney seed in my head when I read what they were up to.

"It's enhanced TV—what news, sports, children's TV are if you have no technology
limits." Under the code name Tele-fusion, Imagineers are simulating this future in
research labs rarely opened to outsiders.

THE ARTICLE IS A MUST READ...
I actually spoke with Johnnie Roberts the author after I read it and he agreed that
the @HOME connection was clear, but he had to keep this article "simple" so the
layman could grab onto the idea. he suggested that he'd be doing a follow up with
insights that we both had in common.

ANYWAY HERE IS THE LINK TO "OUT OF THE BOX" read all 5 pages, it's
worth it.
