Tom, I went back and did some research on MSFT vs. AOL. I have been concentrating so hard on the net, that I forgot about MSFT. Your post was so simple, but it kind of pointed out the nose on my face. Well, I have checked out historical p/es of MSFT. MSFT PE in their heyday was around 60-never got aboove 80 until just recently. This doesn't mean that AOL can't get to MSFT's valuation, just that AOL is way ahead 0f itself. Your post made me realize that the valuation is possible, eventually.
