Seems that all roads point to Rome on the USW/GBLX merger, i.e., both companies share price would respond positively to the deal coming apart. With that in mind, it would seem that the tendering of GBLX and the purchase of equal amount of USW is an excellent play. This is based on beleif that there will be an almost 20 percent acceptance of GBLX shares tendered @ $62.75 and that the USW conversion will be 1.2: 1. Only negative is that if the deal closes, one cannot be sure of how many shares will be allocated to the respective tracking stocks based on proration. Would welcome any comments and suggestions!
