You are right my post should have been OT.

Not what I meant. What I meant was that if we get into a situation where 15-20 people start to dump their detailed analysis of individual stocks onto this thread, then the original subject matter of the thread is diluted to such a degree that the original intention about teaching AIM to newcomers and creating new concepts around AIM would be lost in the weeds. Sort of like having a bunch of loud neighbors move into your nice quiet neighborhood and partying every Friday and Saturday night. An occasional party or two is ok, but...

I believe there are a couple more out there somewhere. How about using the one you started for technical analysis?

I don't think so. That's pretty specific about screening for stocks and not directly related to AIM. In 20/20 hindsight, I should have just created a webpage explaining the concept and let it go at that.

Can I indulge myself with a pet peeve? If we are going to create a new thread, then we have to have some mechanism for tracking the results. One of the reasons that we can attract people to this thread is that Tom originally had a webpage where he demonstrated the value of the concept with a significant history and track record. Robert jumped in and has created a nice site so we can watch his frantic trading. <grin>

If we are to start a thread, the selections need to be tracked until the original persons says either, "I blew it, sell and move on", or "Everything is just fine, that recommendation I made on 10/22/98 is up xx%". I've just seen too many boards where you get an occasional hit and run poster and then 6 months later when it craters, you never hear from them again.

You and I have privately exchanged individual ideas and I like the Briefing Book / DD format you are developing. Perhaps you and Robert could get together and develop a website where in-depth examination of stocks for AIMing could be kept. I don't have that nice fancy software Robert or Tom has to generate the charts, but they would really help promote a thread if accompanied with a detailed reason to own the stock as well as a good one page set of links to allow individuals to do further research if desired. I'd be happy to donate a similar cgi code for this type of page

confirmatoryanalysis.com

if you want it.

Hi,
It seems to me that you two are getting too involved in analysis.(technical or otherwise). A.I.M. is supposed to be and is a simple method for controlling risk and increasing profits in the stock market.
