Of course we we we know that the G&S thread is all of those wonderful things, but the thread has ALWAYS been perceived as rather threatening by many. I'm not a gotcha! kind of person, especially as I'm a truly terrible typist and rush along with a thought, committing often unforgivable errors along the way. But I love language the way my husband loves baseball. It makes my heart beat faster. I've been thinking about style since you mentioned it and wonder in which context you wanted to consider it- the technical Strunk and White or the broader concept of what makes it all work (or not)?
