ed <<so are you saying dell is much more than ibm???? let's be realistic, we are not talking just "white boxes" are we???? so again, dell is the property owner as you state, but yet they agree to pay $16b in rent to the lowly tenant ibm????? i'd like to rent space from you my friend!>> certainly some semantics there; although your point is made. you'd obviously do well in the foreign service. i didn't call IBM a lowly tenant. Dell owns this growth cycle on which others are now dependent. no different than breaking trail with your team in five feet of snow. they follow in your footsteps, or expend more energy breaking their own. Dell becomes a prima innovator instead of just the innovative follower.
