Why Armstrong?

You wouldn't normally expect this such a move from a corporate behemoth like T. But Armstrong has demonstrated a tendency to be more iconoclastic and proactive than any T CEO in recent memory. And T could get the critical mass of eyeballs who have previously been resistant to pay $20/month.

To maximize the value of its network, T has no choice but to monetize eyes and ears with an ad-driven e-commerce strategy.
