Wanna bet?
My bet: It is precisely the ability of Tivo technology to target advertising at their viewers that hooked NBC.
With the Tivo system after you've chosen to record a bunch of shows they know your viewing habits and when you signed up you gave them your demographics.

I bet one week after FredE buys one of these things and starts recording shows, he'll start getting ads targeted at him for the Spice channel, Victoria secrets and Valvoline.
