QWST is a better partner for GBLX than FRO. Let me put it this way. The QWST infrastructure still relies on electrons. The FRO infrastructure relies on photons. QWST both purchased capacity from and sold capacity to the FRO network. In short, QWST then failed to light the fiber in the most optimal way. Electrons are too difficult to sort, photons (with the help of emerging technologies) by their nature are easier to manipulate and sort. There is no real limit to how many photons you can shove into a space . . . there is a limit on how many electrons can be placed in the same space. QWST chose electrons (for the time being - upgrades will be cost prohibitive for now). This is no hype - it's high school physics. Yes, I do claim allegiance to Mr. Gilder, but it is not an "adopt all thoughts" following. Take a look at my HSAC posts . . . I bet Mr. Gilder actually ends up agreeing with me and adding that company to his list (actually the company fits into his paradigm, and he recently acknowledged this, see below - I just focused on HSAC before he did). Are these figures for FRO or for SUN? As I said, FRO UTILIZES Sun's servers (as in they bought them) to handle the traffic they have built . . . that traffic will assist in filling GBLX undersea fiber network . . . it's one example of the synergies.
