From Joe Q. investor. I admittedly don't know a whole lot about Wind. I know the basics and am learning more and more. I've been reading this thread over the past several months it has been informative and intriguing. HOWEVER, I am beginning to wonder if all this debate over the causes of these daily fluctuations is a little bit over done. Whether we all can't see the forest for the tree's? My perspective in a nut shell. Big run up before earnings, probably due to very over sold price, and expectation that CC will have good things to say about future. Earnings and CC seemed to be well received by market, as the stock continued its' accent. Since then, there has been little news of any material substance. If anything the bit of news that would qualify as having some weight to it, seemed mostly positive with some reservation. During this time however, the market has been getting jerked around by just about every possible fear you could think of, and WIND has been up and down like a yoyo. Last week the stock sold off, after that licensing announcement, but then went right back up the next day. The fluctuations could just be due to the fears of the market as a whole, profit taking, etc., and not a change in view towards Winds prospects.
Don't get me wrong, I don't wish to discount the value of the information and the concerns expressed here over WIND's products, management etc. I just think that it is more a part of the ongoing debate over WIND's LONG TERM prospects, rather then specifically the cause for these current fluctuations.
Just the humble opinion of an average Joe Q. investor. aka/ David Perfette

Ikj,

Go to the last CC (link below). Then go to section 5 (questions and answers)14 mins 20 sec. Then fast forward to about 6 mins 30 secs into it. I am almost sure Ron says "IxWorks is de facto part of Future i/o". BTW, IxWorks is the OS which runs I2O.

>>I didn't know that Future I/O also uses I2O. If this is true, than WRS is a BUY.<<

See:
exchange2000.com

With switched-fabric technology, I2O becomes the point of convergence for building systems with unlimited I/O potential. I2O is a software architecture-complementary and somewhat independent of the underlying hardware, so it is portable and can be implemented on a variety of interconnect hardware. Only a small portion of the software-the transport layer-must be modified to permit the entire stack to be reused, be it bus or fabric.

To facilitate the convergence of I/O technologies, the I2O Special Interest Group (SIG) invited representatives from NGIO, Future I/O and PCI-X to discuss whether I2O complemented their particular technologies. The SIG determined that I2O complements all of these implementations and can greatly ease the transition to new hardware.

Hi Khan,

What do you think, is the future of Future IO brighter than NGIO? Your post leads me to believe so.

Thanks for your reply.
