Sean, have been misinformed on SCSI, then? I was under the impression that it was inadvisable to put slow SCSI devices on the same chain with Fast and Ultra devices--something like the chain would communicate only as quickly as its slowest link. Am I wrong?

yes, your thinking IDE. SCSI was designed specifically to handle slow and fast devices...

Sad. Huh. booting off CD should be far easier. to Date I have only succeeded booting CD's using Adaptec controllers...
