Yes....

But he's troubled because he made the earnings play layup attempt for one of the 4 horsemen of the INUT sector, and will probably lose.

You're a LT investor who understands the company. He's a ST trader that apparently made a poor timing execution. It hurts non-the-less, especially if your a ST player.

IMVHO, this is a just another warning shot to the Net sector, and more are coming.

Net stocks are entering a new phase. The BIG FAST MONEY DAYS are going to very quickly give way to investors picking correctly, learning how to be patient with a LT horizon, and knowing what your company does and how they will get themselves there.

Birdshot used to work, every IPO was a winner.

You gotta pick right, or "righter" now.

I actually think there is a fundamental change to CMGI's business - the value of their bank of assets is diminishing as so many other internut IPO"s come to market and satisfy demand. They may have decided not to sell as many of their assets just now waiting for better prices .... a la the Lycos fiasco with USA network cause the share price was impacted, but I guess it could be argued they should have made hay earlier when prices were at their peak.

Course ... who knows what the comany is really worth ... more or less than current price ?? Certainly not me !!

Good luck to everyone

Dam straight Scarecrow. Logged on tonight to 115 new messages! all this pissing and moaning over earnings, BFD. I am glad DW did not liquidate holdings at lows, you gotta be brain dead to sell net stocks now, and DW is no idiot. Those who bought in for an earnings pop deserve the pain, they should understand the value of this stock before they buy. IMO, all this bearishness on the thread is a bull call. I would not be surprised for an up day tomorrow as big money picks up shares on the cheap.

How quickly we forget fundamentals.

scarecrow,

great post AND interesting speculation re: CMGISOLUTIONS domain being the URL for the recently announced CMGi incubator integration business

also, here are the url's of some of the other businesses which will join the fold that were mentioned in the CC - thought i would post them here since their links are still not posted on CMGi's site

nascent.com
- as mentioned in the CC, this company will be merged with activerse instant messaging technology to compete w/ aol's icq

also, there is www.nextplanetover.com and www.advoco.com but there doesn't appear to be anything substantial at these sites at this point
