Paperchase is either stupid, or playing games, or perhaps, to be kind, blinded by some sort of emotional difficulty he's having over a rebate dispute.

His first post says >>I suspect 3COM has cash flow problems<<

His latest post says <<Their cash position isn't the issue<<

Whether paid or not, 3COM has to report rebate obligations properly. Either they're liabilities or they're expenses paid.

<<I am asserting that they have the cash, computer processing and manpower ability to pay these rebates on time.>>

If the issue is delayed payment of rebates, are you sure that it is Coms fault? Is Coms handling the rebate payments directly? We have all probably had rebate payments that took seemingly forever (or never) to arrive. In all cases that I followed up, the company was using a third party rebate administrator and that was where the breakdown had occurred. Seems to me a company like Coms would likely outsource the processing of rebate requests.

I am not familiar with this specific situation; that's why I'm asking the question.

I had to wait almost 10 weeks for my sprint PCS rebate... These things do seem to drag out.
