Oh gee.... So, now we don't waste anytime at all. We start right in with the insults.

$10B is an estimated number from one of the directors in Finance that I happen to know very well. True, he may have "pulled this silly number out of the air", but before you chastize someone for a comment perhaps you'd be better served to find out where they are getting their data. This fellow may be over optimistic but the $10B number I think is reasonable given the crazy valuations these days.

Second, why in the hell would Juniper sell to LU for $4B if they expected an initial valuation of $4B on the open market-especially given recent successes. The employees left companies smaller than LU just to get away from a big company environment. I can tell you that Scott wants to see this thing through...money is secondary. It would take far far greater than $4B to convince Scott and the board to sell out now - or even 6 months ago. "Word on the street" - give me a break....try talking to the company...

Third, yeah, LU is going to build a competitive router to Juniper in 4 months - or even 12.... Juniper had the best with Dr Li and has been working on this project for nearly 3 years now. Why do you think LU can catch up?
