Ron, nice essay on your assessment of the reality out there. I am new to SI but I have been following the "talk" about MSU. In your 6/11/99 message wherein you made the point about MSU trying to maintain the class 3 level so as to get off the BB and onto the small cap board is very valid. Any company only has so much "good news" available and MSU is smart to save for when they "graduate" to the small cap board. I believe that if the stock price were to start slipping below 5/share then they would be forced to release some news. MSU should be on the verge of qualifying for class 3 as of this coming week if my interpetation of the NASDAQ language is correct. So from MSU's point of view why not wait until then so they can more "bang for the buck" or in other words more "ying for the yang" since we are dealing with China here. On another point you mentioned about Microsoft, I believe based on what I have read over the years that China does not like MS because of MSoft attempts to stop and prosecute software piracy occurring in China, and vice versa. So I would be really surprised if MSoft is a suitor. It would not add up. Sure MSoft has $20 Billion in cash to play with, but I don't believe they are even aware of who MSU is little alone care. Additinally MSU does not need a suitor at this juncture. They have the technology, the product, the manufacturing and the hopefully the sales outlets via contracts. I could see a strategic alliance in order to enhance the sales end of the success equation. That creates the "get your cake and eat it too" scenario. I agree with one of the other "talkers" on here that Wynn is too "proud" to sell out unless he was being offered some sweetheart deal. This has been his "baby" and he wants to be there when it "arrives". As longs as MSU can continue to generate buyers for its product the company will have superb growth and the share price will ascend accordingly. Thanks again, Ron, for your level headed input. As a very large shareholder in MSU, I am amused by the "talk" but more impressed with the technology at hand. All 4 now. 3D

Ron
actually, I don't recall them ever putting out a press release on a weekend, except
maybe for a Sunday. Could you provide an example to spur my memory??

I never should have made that post , only because I am not willing to search all the
wed sites to see if it is still around ........I just thought that you might remember it.
It was probably over 2 years ago and it was not from our current PR firm

No dought that MSU should redesign there web site !!
I can find more information on the set top box on the Mitac
site
