With another article like that after next week's economic numbers, Favors will probably put out a market update calling for a short-term market-top, plus or minus his canonical one or two days.

I'm definitely not encouraged by Russia's irrational movements of the past 24hrs. Uncertainty and serious miscalculations may have severe repercussions.

In a televised interview, Viktor S. Chernomyrdin, Russia's special Kosovo negotiator, said Yeltsin will clarify his position Sunday."You will learn from the president, he will say everything" said Chernomyrdin, who noted that he himself had not been informed of the troop movements.

It was not clear when, how or if Russia had coordinated the troop deployment with Yugoslavia. Top Yugoslav military officers traditionally have maintained strong ties with their counterparts in Russia.

Any attempts to partition Kosovo will be disastrous! IMO and will create a very explosive situation.....I hope Russia quickly abandons any such thoughts! I really hate to see these types of reckless actions coming from such a large desperate nation. Russia is already on the brink disaster....it doesn't need a confrontation with the west. Yeltsin is losing it!

Concerned,
Jeff
