So it seems from the literature.

But as I recall the Golden Mean goes back to the Greeks so something seems awry to me.

Of course, Fib could have some basis derived from Greek Mathematics and that would explain the implied correlation.

To sum up, it does not matter much anyway. Even if one understands it...all that matters is whether it works. If many people think it works, then it will work.

If it really works, then only those who understand how to use it properly will profit from it.
