Stan, You are correct. VoIP is here to stay....

I am an engineer for one of the top three telecommunications companies. We provide voice and data at the same time now, as most do. VoIP is another way of accomplishing this. I know that all LEC's, IXC's, IP's, and Manufacturers are looking very closely at the revenues that may be lost or gained because of VoIP.(Nortel Networks is a very good example,"not who I work for"). I have 10 years to retirement and I will be accumulating more NPEC on the way, along with stock of the company I work for. If NPEC and MetroPlus do well I will travel very very well at retirement. If not, I will only travel very well.
The only thing I may have a problem with is the "conflict of interest" with my company. So, I might have to put the shares in my wife's name or take other options that I may have.
I believe that this is one of the viable options for consumers in the very near future and will be the way we communicate along with cellular over IP also, look what Motorola just announced last week.
Voip is here to stay!!!
Go NPEC!!!!
Go MetroPlus!!!!
