>>I don't think so since I do not know what it is;-<<
Glenn, you don't know what it is?? It's a cult that practices "No guilt, for the easy made $billionaires", the only problem is those no guilt $billionaires are required to give a piece of their $billions to the scientology church.
I think Bezo and myself are going to convert you too.
Have a great weekend and sell lots of Jewelry, before Bezo drives you out of business. I believe it was 1 issue back in Business Week that Bezo said "The strip mall retailers as we know them today will be toast".

Glenn I am getting more and more bullish on Amazon every day. If I had to take a position in one internet stock now for gains this year Amazon would be it... I'm writing this post to quantify my thoughts a little.

- Amazon entry into toys caused me to rethink my e-toys position, since I don't think any new venture can compete against amazon in e-tail (toys r us might be able to)

- drugstore.com design and implementation seems to have pulled ahead of the other drugs which was not the case 2 mos ago. The site has been redesigned to agressively move hot products and nobody seems to do that as well as amazon

- An article about ebay poor website design caused me to take a look and I agree it needs work, amazon is much better (however the articles point that ebay would decline I didn't buy into at the time)... but then with this ebay outage I looked again and discovered that amzn has in some categories about 10% of the auctions as ebay - actually that isn't too bad, they are gaining, maybe amazon has a chance to win this, I truly believe technical mgmt is better at amazon than ebay, since amazon planned for their success

- The amazon e-cards I once thought was a waste of energy on their part (a kind of "pie in the sky venture") I realize now are an effective way to spur gift sales... I got one of those recently and took a look, these cards are really good - now a bunch of my friends are using them - they can contain advertising, this is innovative.

I sent this message to you Glenn because I think you and I and some others have felt that there was no method behind this madness at Amazon. That they just wanted to get their hands on all this money and spend away, since we didn't know what all these warehouses were for etc. Well once you put all these ventures together there seems to be a very agressive plan here which is working so far.

One item I remain disappointed with in regards to Amazon is the awful advertising. Get a new agency and promotion before Christmas.
