An "unfunny", distressing experience.................
On Friday I spent just about all morning trying to get a couple of
simple answers out of the NASD folks. Well, I was basically met with
total ineptitude/boredom/unhelpfulness & complete disinterest, as
though a citizen owning a stock kept from trading by them for a month has no right to "bother" them.
By & large, they seemed irritated to be awoken from their slumber &
their first reaction was always to tell me I was calling the wrong #
or division. On my last call, I was told the "OTC Compliance Dept"
was definitely the right one. Well, I realized I had tried them 5
calls earlier & it was rather comical to hear me say "Ma'm, Ma'm" too
late as she had already quickly transferred me to a busy signal.
To make a long story short, it strikes me as "almost criminal" that
DCI's fate (and our's as investors), can be left in the hands of such
people. Remember, these individuals are the ones that the NASD selects to interact with the public. One can only cringe when contemplating the enthusiasm/competence/sense of urgency that must
be displayed by the "colorful" number-crunchers/paperwork crew behind
the scenes. Heaven help us all..............................V
p.s. = I also got the overwhelming impression that employees there
think they "have done their job well" by simply giving another phone
# - be it correct or not.
