Guess this a forum where folks can voice their opinions about Bush's candidacy, so here are mine.

GWB is likely to get the nomination and could win. While I'm not a strong opponent of his candidacy, I have a few qualms.

Background issue #1: After all the hullaboo about Clinton's moral problems and the skeletons in his closet, should we really choose as a followup an alcoholic and a possible past cocaine user? (Note I said possible. I think he has not denied the rumors so far(?).) Also I hope there are no Paula Jones/Dolly Browning type characters out there with stories about what may or may not have happened during some past partying.

Background issue #2: I wish that a lot of his personal funds hadn't come from "corporate welfare" in the form a taxpayer funded stadium.

Issue #3: Is he the best qualified candidate? Probably not.

What's with this W thing. I keep hearing that that's the only part of his name he owns, but his daddy was George Herbert Walker Bush, so there's a W. It's not for wimp I hope. Anyway he doesn't seem to own a W by himself and only inherited that too. Shouldn't he be known as -H since he doesn't seem to have a Herbert but otherwise is the same? I'm confused!

A few observations:

People wonder why Hollywood and the entertainment industry are more Liberal.. Not money, the knee jerk reaction from Reps, Always the pocketbook according to them..

But these people are free thinkers.. Remember freedom begins between the ears..Most artists, writers,etc.. realize the importance of personal freedoms.. Not corporate, materialistic freedoms expoused by the conservatives.. who want personal behavior regulated.. Not the kind that endangers others.. aka.. DUI like DUIBYA.. but freedom of expression..

Along these lines, I have noticed the best traders IMO, have come out for Gore or against Bust, because trading requires flexibility and free thinking... No cookbook for trading or more importantly for Life...

Just my thoughts..
