@home has always been dedicated to their definition of "open access" which is to allow the user set his home page however he wants and to go anywhere he wants on the web with his browser, including www.aol.com.

The only way that ATHM could block me from using another site as my home page is to require the use of a proprietary browser, as AOL does. So it's not that @home has "defined" "open access". The browsers have defined it. It is only AOL that is the exception. (I am not an AOL customer, so if I am mistaken, please let me know.)
