snasraway,

This is a quote from Mark Edelstone's recent Rambus report and is probably the single most important thing to keep in mind when thinking about Rambus:

we believe that Intel's long-term business model depends on the successful transition to Rambus DRAMs

Message 10011096

I personally do not doubt that Intel will be successful in implementing their long-term business model.

BTW, the pc side gets all the attention because Intel is the enchilada grande. The other businesses that will use RAMBUS technology are as varied as can be. Edelstone and the other analysts hardly pay any attention to them - YET.

You know, and we know, BUT NOT EVERYONE KNOWS - YET.

They will. Soon.

Barry

Snasraway, yeah I'm afraid that it's me who keeps saying Rambus is a no brainer. To clarify, I think that Rambus is as close to a no brainer as you can get in this market. I still realize that there is risk that Rambus will fail, but the closer we get to September (and I have been in this stock close to 1 1/2 now) the less fearful I am. But remember I am a long term holder. I don't know what will happen in the near term, but I am betting that long term Rambus will do well

BTW, the only other stock I classify as a no brainer is Cisco.
