Well, there's nothing for it except to give you an assignment that hopefully will keep you occupied for a while, or at least until a competent adult shows up. Here's your assignment: Why don't you do some DD for us on just exactly how title to a public company can be encumbered, what it takes to get free and clear title to a public company, and some examples of problems that have occurred when someone did not have free and clear title to a public company.
