robert,

IMO, the market is now under the control of the fed and the BIG money and only when they say it is OK, will we move up significantly higher again - when this will happen, i do not know - there appears to be too many unknowns at this point re: rates / Y2K / ipo supply - i see early 2000 being a much sunnier place but this is only my opinion - still holding a sizable amount of CMGi but am 50% cash

BUT CMGi has never looked better fundamentally to me though the current sentiment for this stock and the INETS is pretty negative - CMGi's loss was larger because they had some non-recurring acquisition/liquidity costs that wasn't offset by them selling some public holdings as they usually do - the smart money will use the private investor's shortsightedness to pick up bargains in the stock when the time is right or maybe they are doing it right now - i am watching for 2001 leap prices to perhaps drop a little more

IMO, CMGi is only picking up a faster pace in regard to acquisition, liquidity events, forming key alliances and receiving investment fund dollars AND also in moving quickly into competitive arenas with the launch of ICAST and instant messaging technology - even, the formation of their incubator integration company shows very forward thinking - the chemdex, engage, navisite ipo's should be the cream of the crop of ipo's this year though not sure how internet ipo's in general will weather things

hope you timed the buy of CMGi for your daughter's fund well as i heard of your plans on the CMGi thread - good luck
