Poeple have been talking conspiracy theory involving gold for years. The part that I do not understand is that if the theories are indeed true than it is even more bearish for gold near term. Why would manipulation in the AU markets be bullish? It might be long term but why buy here or a year ago when you can probably buy it lower? The same people that believe these theories were saying to run out and buy AU when it was trading at $350. As they say in the market "do not fight the tape" and I believe that it applies in this case as well. I will start buying gold only when there are hints that AU companies are beginning to unwind their hedge positions.
