Do you believe SUNW screwed up EBAY? I don't. Let's see what SUNW's response. I think this will be caused by a lack of synergy with an external program. Solaris is highly scalable making it an unlikely candidate for such an outage. If it was SUNW's fault, they are likely insured and will make the fix which is appropriate. I expect some minor fallout from this.

I don't suppose they could be just a little more specific about which software it is, could they? It's kinda bold of E-Bay to do such explicit finger pointing without giving the world more details.
