Michelle, you're too young to remember, but 20 years ago milk and bread were delivered to people's doorsteps. The logistics were pretty simple, everyone ordered pretty much the same thing each week. However, as soon as supermarkets started opening the home delivery business collapsed. You see, it is always cheaper to have the customer perform the "last mile" of fufilment. Just ask Glenn about this.

Of course, while everyone is enjoying their new wealth from AOL shares, they may be willing to pay for your often-quoted 5 dollar artichoke hearts. Once the reality of this NASDAQ casino comes back to earth, people wont be willing to waste money like that.
