DoubleClick Merging With
Abacus

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Web advertising company DoubleClick
Inc. said it is merging with marketer Abacus Direct Corp., in a
stock deal valued at $1 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported
Monday.

The deal is expected to be announced Monday, the paper said in
its electronic edition.

Under the proposed pact, DoubleClick will issue 1.05 shares of its
common stock for each share of Abacus stock, the paper said.
Abacus shareholders will own 20.5 percent of the combined
company, to be called DoubleClick.

To Change: When I heard the news about DCLK using their
falling shares to buy another company I went fricking
crazy. Then I calmed down and sold this turkey at 83 bucks
while I had a chance. I was going to hold on but after
hearing the terrible news shortly before the Bell I had
no choice. In fact I sold ATHM, RNWK, and NDB and took
some chips off the table. The only other internet stock
I own now is AOL and am looking for an opportunity to
double down sometime soon. With AOL still falling like
a stone, many of the well known internets being kicked out
of the Russell 2000, the CPI numbers, Greenspan speaking
on Thursday, Triple Witching on Friday and of course
the FED meeting at the end of the month I can see absolutely
NO REASON to buy any internets right now. Good Luck to all
who still hold DCLK, but I know its going lower!!!
