The point is that the Big five, Samsung, LG/Hyundai, MU, NEC, and Toshiba together account for only about 65% of production, leaving a lot of market share held by smaller players. After a consolidation it is reasonable to expect that a larger share will be held by this group as marginal players exit. Considering that Toshiba is farming out production to foundries, it also isn't clear where that portion of their production is accounted for.

Skeeter's point is that one of the big 5 has to exit. It is there that I disagree.
