New topic - S&P 500 substitutions. Does anyone have any data on various tidbits relating to Standard & Poors' switching components of the S&P 500 such as :

How many days before the switch is actually done is the announcement made ?

Are announcements made early or late in the day (or random) ?

If more than one stock is about to leave (due to known merger completion dates), does S&P tend to announce multiple substitutions in one big announcement ?

Jon.

Dave - The DS and MC modes use different frequency allocations so in Europe we could see CDMA2000 overlays of GSM and WCDMA networks in new frequency allotments...

It would be interesting to see what percent of the US PCS blocks are still empty and available for 3g. I do not know, but if it is greater than 5MHz each then the DS mode could be used in the US.
