To buy at this point takes a lot of guts -- my personal take is
that this stock has more to go down and may take a very long time to recover.

I offer a few comments from someone who owns far too much of this stock, at least after today's actions, and is more than somewhat dismayed by the apparent lack of good judgement by Qwest's management.

First, I am inclined to agree with Cramer's assessment of this
deal, especially the effect on the Qwest shareholders, "One More
in an Era of Travesties."

From the press releases of GBLX and QWST, these "travesties" may get even worse as the battle of CEO egos further sacrifices the welfare of the stockholders.

The Qwest press release call for an anticipated growth of 15-17% for the combination of USWest, Qwest and Frontier. This is to be compared to a 47.5% growth projection for Qwest alone. Now, compare this to the projected 30% 5 yr. growth rate for WCOM. It is a small wonder that Qwest's stock is only down 22%.
