Hey KIS,
Enjoy your pithy, and factual, comments.
What are you short right now and are you eyeing
anything currently to short? I had orders in on Friday
to short amzn, ebay and did't get filled, what a bummer after today.

thanks, parzival

> These companies are not worth 1/50th their current valuations.

So why did you sell your puts today?

Looks more like a classic panic to me.

> We could easily start a major rally from this washed-out level.

- That's a bit like being in default and spending your last $5 on a lottery ticket. Wishful thinking may keep you from being depressed but it isn't any more real than the hypothetical profits these companies might make in five or ten years - if they learn to spin gold from flax.

>bad form to rub salt in the wounds...

Remember "cementhead" or "you just don't get it?"

Survival as a Bear on these pages hasn't been easy. Some even turned to the dark side and the bullish camp. I preferred to take my money and sit in the corner and observe. You had the balls to stay with your convictions despite massive loses.

To the leader of the bear camp I toast, "Hail To The King, King Kis!"

And then please join me in prayer that this disaster doesn't spread to mutual fund selling and the mindless bear market of the 1970's. Of course we have brother Greenspan to blame for all of this. If had allowed the correction to take place last fall nice people like Glenn wouldn't have gotten swept up by the dark side.

From one True Believer to another, kis:

Congrats on a job well done! Hope your wife enjoys dinner...

Some sheep are still bleating, my friend, but sobriety has struck down more than a few bulls. One more good whack, and all the legs will have come off the table. I think the "good" stocks (e.g. AOL, CSCO, DELL) will be fine, after the fall (in both senses of the word), but the garbage scows (AMZN, YHOO, GNET, etc.) are going to the bottom of the channel. I've been mantra-fying "YHOO @ 50 by 12/31" but think now that estimate is way too high...

BTW (I've been away in the Land of No On-Line Connections; sorry, but I don't have time to read 2000 posts) what has become of my old friend Happy/Sales Girl? If you're out there girl: sure wish we'd made that bet back in April; I'm sure you're glad you didn't. Proves, once and for all, you're smarter than me, my friend...

PS Not in your league financially, kis, but it was a fine FLY day financially as well. "Puts" me in a much more comfortable position; and boy, do I ever like my Jan00 YHOO 100s!
