Petz - Re: "Apparently, you don't know how to read the specs, which clearly state a Vcc of 1.6 volts. Only 2 days ago you claimed that "only the PLL" runs at 1.6 volts."

Poor Petz - The TEXT of that ISSCC article stated EXACTLY what I posted - that the the PLL ran at 1.6 volts DROPPED DOWN form a 2.5 volt supply.

On the opposite page OF THE SAME ARTICLE , the 1.6 volt appeared in the SPEC table - courtesy of ACE/McMaster University and Super Sleuth Steve Porter !

Maybe you should learn how to INVESTIGATE THINGS better.

By the way - I just heard some terrifying news about AMD's current quarter financials.

Are you interested in hearing them ?

Dresden in Q4?

Here is a couple of links that may be of interest. "Will consumers be willing to pay $400 to $500 for an AMD processor?" says Intel spokesman Howard High. "That's kind of like going out and buying a designer suit at K-mart. It's hard to imagine people will do that." Not nearly as hard to imagine as AMD having a performance edge on intc Howard. The article states that only 500 mhz (ZDnet)will be ready for release and Dresden will begin production in Q4(?). Not sure how accurate it is.
