Clearly in their new business model (i.e. producer of their own boards for the most part), they won't be vulnerable to the weaker players nor the disgruntled players refusing to pay their bills. Those negatives translate directly to the bottom line.

With further shakeout in the industry, the risk for this happening increases for all the 3D chip makers except 3DFX.

Cool! So the recent weakness is because lazy morons(?) just figured out that the acquisition changes TDFX's business model?(!)
